Apple Time Capsule

在歷經過硬碟宣告陣亡的痛苦後, 備份 (Backup) 變得格外重要, 甚至有點神經質, 因為這下覺得光是每週備份一次似乎不夠, 真希望每分每秒都可以自動備份, 我是否有點矯枉過正呢? 總之, 我開始搜尋有關備份機的資料. 幾年前老公趁打折買了一台250GB Seagate的備份機, 體積說大不大, 但是不但要差USB, 也要插電, 所以每次備份的時候, 那台機器一放上桌就覺得佔空間, 而且外觀不美也是看了就討厭的因素之一, 所以這回把那台機器轉手送給老公用 (這傢伙眼看我的痛, 居然還不備份, 我們走著瞧).

我的手提電腦是蘋果, 不然來看看蘋果有沒有出備份機, 這才讓我發現 Time Capsule, 當下驚為天人, 因為它不但保持蘋果向來的簡潔外觀設計 (白色約七吋半大正方形), 既可無線傳輸資料(Wi-Fi), 又可按小時, 按天, 按週自動備份, 更聰明的是, 除了首次備份需時較長, 往後的備份會自動挑選有更新過的檔案做備份, 而且如果家裡有數台蘋果電腦, 它也可以自動分台備份, 也因為是無線傳輸, 我可以把它放在架子上插電, 而不需要放在電腦旁插著USB, 所以可以完全無視於它的存在 - Automatically, wirelessly, and so pretty to look at it. 它有500GB和1TB二款容量, 考慮過後, 決定網上預訂一台, 今天剛收到, 連設定都很簡單, 一切搞定後, 就讓 Time Capsule每小時自動做備份囉 (這台無線備份機連PC也可以用的喔).
